Hydrochloric Acid → Donepezil Hydrochloride
Participants
| Role | Name | HCID | Charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reactant | Hydrochloric Acid | HCID 313 | — |
| Reactant | Donepezil | HCID 3152 | — |
| Solvent | Toluene | HCID 1140 | — |
| Product | Donepezil Hydrochloride | HCID 5741 | — |
Reaction Steps
2.0 g of Donepezil was dissolved in 30 ml of toluene at 20° C. Hydrogen chloride gas was blown hereinto at room temperature, until the atmosphere turns acidic. Argon gas was blown hereinto. After stirring for 30 minutes, filtration of the separated crystals followed by drying afforded 2.21 g of the title compound. (water content: 0.65%)
