0.01 mole (2 g) of 2-methylamino-6-methylamino-4-fluoronitrobenzene in 8 ml of 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol was heated to 100° C. After 30 minutes the reaction medium was diluted with 20 ml of ice water and the desired product precipitated out. After filtering and vacuum drying in the presence of P2O5, it was recrystallized from isopropanol and then from ethyl acetate. The product melted at 132° C.
