Procedure
To a solution of tert-butyl (1RS,2SR)-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-hydroxy-1-{3-[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl]benzyl}-ethylcarbamate (620 mg, 1.30 mmol) was added trifluoroacetic acid (5 ml), and mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 10 min. After the reaction solution was concentrated, saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate was added and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (30 ml×2). The extract was washed with saturated brine, dried (anhydrous magnesium sulfate) and evaporated under reduced pressure to give the objective substance (0.52 g, 100%).
