The title compound was prepared as described in Example 5, Method A, using 1-diphenylmethoxymethyl-1-(4-methoxyphenethylamino)cyclohexane (see Example 4) and sodium cyanoborohydride/formaldehyde. The title compound was obtained as a colourless oil (0.58 g, 66%), which was characterised from its 1H-n.m.r. spectrum.
