Procedure
A solution of 4-chloro-1H-indazole-6-carboxylic acid (100 mg, 0.5 mmol) in THF (1 mL) was cooled to 0° C. under argon. Borane (1.4 mL, 1.4 mmol) was added dropwise and the solution was stirred overnight at rt. The reaction was quenched with ice cold sat. sodium bicarbonate, extracted with ethyl acetate (3×10 mL), dried over MgSO4 and concentrated to give the title compound as a white solid (60 mg, 66%). MS ESI [M+H]+, calcd for [C8H7ClN2O+H]+ 183.0; found m/z 183.0.
