Procedure
Acetyl chloride (30 mg) was added at room temperature to a solution of (R)-3-(4-(azetidin-3-yl)phenyl)-1-(2-methylpyridin-4-yl)-3-o-tolylpropan-1-one (example 482, step 1; 70 mg) and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (98 mg) in dichloromethane (4 mL), then after 2 h the reaction mixture was partitioned between sat. aq. sodium hydrogencarbonate solution and dichloromethane. The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and evaporated. Flash chromatography (silica gel, 10 g, 2% to 5% methanol in dichlormethane) produced the title compound (19 mg). Colourless oil, MS (ESI+): m/z=413.0 [M+H]+.
