Prepared according to procedure F using 2,4-dichloro-7-fluoro-3-methylquinoline (500 mg, 2.173 mmol), 3,5-dimethylbenzeneboronic acid (326 mg, 2.173 mmol), sodium carbonate (1.15 g, 10.87 mmol) and Pd(PPh3)4 (251 mg, 0.217 mmol) in toluene/water (4 mL:1 mL) and heating in the microwave for 90 min at 120° C. After purification 4-chloro-2-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)-7-fluoro-3-methylquinoline was obtained as a white solid. Mass Spectrum (ESI) m/e=300 (M+1).
