Prepared according to procedure E and using 2,4-dichloro-3-methyl-1,8-naphthyridine (500 mg, 2.347 mmol), 4-methyl-2-(tributylstannyl)pyridine (897 mg, 2.347 mmol) and Pd(PPh3)4 (271 mg, 0.235 mmol). Purification by column chromatography (hexanes:EtOAc, from 1:0 to 1:2) gave 4-chloro-3-methyl-2-(4-methylpyridin-2-yl)-1,8-naphthyridine. Mass Spectrum (ESI) m/e=270.0 (M+1).
