A solution of (9H-fluoren-9-yl)methyl-2-(7-bromo-4-oxo-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2-yl)pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (305 mg, 1.04 mmol) and piperidine (2 mL) in CH3CN was stirred at room temperature for 2 h. The mixture was diluted with H2O (30 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (3×100 mL). The combined organic layers were washed with brine and dried over Na2SO4. After filtration and concentration, the crude product was purified by column chromatography to give 162 mg of the desired product. MS (ESI): 294, 296 (MH+)
