Reaction Steps
790 mg (2.06 mmol) ethyl 6-(2-carboxy-cyclopropanecarbonyl)-2-phenyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-benzoxazole-6-carboxylate, 5 ml of 32% hydrochloric acid and 5 ml of water are refluxed together for 6 h. The reaction mixture is extracted with DCM, the org. phase is dried on magnesium sulphate and then the solv. is eliminated by rotary evaporation i.V.
