To a solution of (5Z)-5-({1-[2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl]piperidin-4-yl}methylidene)-4-{[2-(diethylamino)ethyl]amino}-1,3-thiazol-2(5H)-one (115 mg) in ethyl acetate (2 mL) was added 4M hydrogen chloride/ethyl acetate solution (0.21 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the residue was recrystallized from ethanol/ethyl acetate to give the title compound (72 mg).
