To a solution of (5Z)-5-({1-[2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl]piperidin-4-yl}methylidene)-4-(prop-2-yn-1-ylamino)-1,3-thiazol-2(5H)-one (141 mg) in ethanol (1 mL) was added 6N hydrochloric acid (0.1 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr, the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the residue was recrystallized from 2-butanone/heptane to give the title compound (100 mg).
