To a solution of (5Z)-5-({1-[4-chloro-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl]piperidin-4-yl}methylidene)-4-(prop-2-yn-1-ylamino)-1,3-thiazol-2(5H)-one (1.04 g) in ethyl acetate (11.8 mL) was added fumaric acid (273 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from ethanol/heptane to give the title compound (1.09 g).
