Procedure

To a solution of N-methylglycinamide (4.06 g) in ethanol (22 mL) was added 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (5.11 g), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hr. The precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with ethanol to give the title compound (6.26 g).
