Reaction Steps
To a solution of N,N-dimethylglycinamide hydrochloride (5 g) and triethylamine (5.03 mL) in ethanol (20 mL) was added 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (4.81 g), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hr. The reaction mixture was concentrated, and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (NH, ethyl acetate/THF) to give the title compound (4.68 g).
