To a solution of L-serinamide hydrochloride (1.00 g) in ethanol (20 mL) were added 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (957 mg) and N-ethyl-N-(1-methylethyl)propan-2-amine (1.88 mL), and the mixture was heated under reflux overnight. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (methanol/ethyl acetate), and the obtained powder was washed with ethyl acetate to give the title compound (1.09 g).
