Procedure

To a solution of 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (865 mg) in ethanol (10 mL) was added 2-(methylsulfonyl)ethanamine (1 g), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hr. The precipitate was collected by filtration to give the title compound (1.39 g).
