Trimethylsilyl diazomethane (29 mL, 2 M in hexanes, 57.78 mmol) was added to a stirred solution of Example 5G (15.58 g, 39.3 mmol) in toluene (100 mL) and methanol (20 mL). After one hour at room temperature, acetic acid (1.5 mL) was added to quench the excess reagent. The solvent was evaporated and the crude product was dissolved in diethyl ether and washed with NaHCO3 solution brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered, and evaporated. The title compound was isolated as an oil and used without further purification.
