A mixture of 5% rhodium-carbon (50% wet, 10 mg) and 9-[4-(1-methylethoxy)phenyl]-3,4-dihydropyrido[2,1-c][1,2,4]thiadiazine 2,2-dioxide (110 mg) in THF (30 mL) and ethanol (30 mL) was stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere (3 atm) at room temperature for 7 hr. The reaction mixture was filtered, the filtrate was concentrated to give the title compound (121 mg) as a white solid. The obtained solid was crystallized from THF and diisopropyl ether to give a white solid.
