The above 5-bromo-2-chlorophenylacetic acid was treated in a manner similar to Reference Example 118-(4) and (5) to give the desired 5-bromo-2-chloro-1-(2-(5-phenyl-2-thienyl)ethyl)benzene as a pale yellow solid. APCI-Mass m/Z 377/379 (M+H).
