Procedure
The 7-(4-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)piperazin-1-yl)-1-chloro-3-(diethylamino)phenothiazin-5-ium iodide was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (4 mL) and trifluoroactic acid (4 mL) and heated at 70° C. overnight. The mixture was allowed to cool to RT and the solvent was evaporated to give a residue. The residue was purified by Prep TLC to give 2.2 mg of the desired product.
