Procedure

To the solution of 6-chloro-8,9-diphenyl-9H-purine obtained in step 4 of Example 8 (0.67 g, 2.18 mmol) in dioxane was added 3-aminopropan-1-ol (1.66 mL, 21.8 mmol) at room temperature and stirred for 4 hours at room temperature. The resulting reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was diluted with CH2Cl2, and washed with water. The organic layer thus separated was dried over anhydrous MgSO4 and evaporated in vacuo to provide title compound (0.77 g, 98%) as yellow solid.
