The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 10 min and then cooled to 0° C. 5-Chloro-4-formyl-1-tosyl-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carboxylic acid (130 mg, 0.271 mmol) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 20 min to afford the title compound.
