Procedure

A solution of 2-(4-(3-(tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)propoxy)-2,6-difluorobenzylthio)-5-(2-(4-chloro-3-methoxyphenyl)-propan-2-yl)-1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-imidazole (785 mg, 1.13 mmol) in CH3CN was treated with 5% HF in CH3CN/H2O (8:2) and purified by chromatography to afford the title compound (330 mg, 50%) as a white solid. MS (EI) m/z 577.4 (MH+).
