Procedure
2.0 gm (35 mmols) of methylisocyanate and two drops of triethylamine are added to a solution of 6.35 gm (25 mmols) of 2-phenoxy-4,5-dichloroaniline in 50 ml of anhydrous dioxan. The resulting solution is kept at 50°-60° C. for 15 hours. Then about 40 ml of dioxan are distilled off in vacuo and the residue is stirred with 50 ml of petrol. After cooling to 5°-10° C. for one hour, the crystalline product is suction filtered, washed with 20 ml of petrol and dried.
