To 160 mg (0.44 mmol) 5-(4-Bromo-butoxy)-1-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-1H-indole in 2 ml DMF were added 0.5 ml (5.2 mmol) N-allylmethylamine and the solution was heated to 60° C. for 30 min. After concentration in vacuo, the residue was dissolved in water and ether. 2M NaOH was added, and the inorganic phase was extracted with ether, the combined organic phases were washed with water and dried over Na2SO4. Column chromatography on silica gel with CH2Cl2/MeOH 9:1 yielded 120 mg (77%) Allyl-{4-[1-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-1H-indol-5-yloxy]-butyl}-methyl-amine as yellow oil, MS: 353 (MH+).
