Reaction Steps

A solution of the compound of Example 4 (6.3 g, 0.028 mol) in HCl (6N, 160 mL) was heated at 60 to 70° C. for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum to afford the title compound (5.0 g, 91%) as a yellow solid, which used in the next step without further purification. 1H NMR (D2O) δ 2.18 (s, 3H), 4.8 (s, 2H), 6.71 (s, 1H).
