Reaction Steps
Reaction of 5-butyl-2,4-dihydro-4-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione (from Example 1, Step D) with 4-methoxybenzyl chloride according to the procedure of Example 5, Step A, gave a 70% yield of the title compound as a solid, mp 130°-131° C.; homogeneous by TLC in 95:5 CH2Cl2 -MeOH.
