Reaction Steps
The title compound was prepared by reacting (E)-1-[2-n-butyl-1-{(2-chlorophenyl)methyl}-1H-imidazol-5-yl]-2-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1-propene with boron tribromide in methylene chloride at room temperature. The product was isolated as the hydrobromide salt; mp 218°-221° C.
