Procedure

2,500 g of 1,4-bis-tert.-butoxybut-2-ene were hydroformylated in a conventional manner by means of an equimolar mixture of CO and H2 and 50 mg of the Rh catalyst mentioned in Example 1, in the presence of 2,000 g of tetrahydrofuran, at 100° C. and 650 bar for 24 hours.
