Procedure
To a mixture of 10 g (0.03 mol) of the acid chloride prepared in Example 200 in 500 mL of Et2O was added an excess of anhydrous methyl amine and the mixture was stirred at 30° C. for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was cooled to 25° C., and concentrated in vacuo to a white powder which was extracted with CHCl3 using a soxhlet apparatus. The CHCl3 was concentrated in vacuo to 8.8 g (88%) of product as a white solid: mp 128°-130° C.
