Procedure
1.23 g (5 mmole) of the 3-(3-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-1,2 3,4-oxatrizole-5-imine hydrochloride prepared in Example 1 were dissolved in a two-phase system consisting of 30 ml of water and 10 ml of dichloromethane. The mixture was cooled in an ice bath to 5° C., and subsequently 0.84 g (10 mmole) of sodium hydrogen carbonate was carefully added in small quantities. After terminated development of carbon dioxide the mixture was stirred vigorously for about 10 minutes, whereafter the the organic phase was separated and evaporated.
