Procedure

Methoxylamine hydrochloride (0.74 g, 8.9 mmol) was added to a solution of Example 15C (1.92 g, 8.1 mmol) in pyridine (20 mL) and stirred overnight at ambient temperature. The mixture was concentrate under reduced pressure, ethyl acetate (200 mL) was added, and the organic layer was washed twice with water (200 mL) and brine, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrate under reduced pressure. The residue was chromatographed on silica gel eluting with 0-20% ethyl acetate in hexane to afford the title compound. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 2.88 (t, J=6.44 Hz, 2H), 3.29 (t, J=6.44 Hz, 2H), 3.97 (s, 3H), 4.47 (s, 2H), 6.65 (d, J=8.14 Hz, 1H), 6.70 (t, J=7.46 Hz, 1H), 7.13 (td, J=7.80, 1.70 Hz, 1H), 7.31 (m, 5H), 7.92 (dd, J=7.80, 1.70 Hz, 1H). MS (DCI) m/z 267.11 (M+H)+.
