To a stirred solution of 66.15E (0.050 g, 0.1 mmol) in THF (4 mL) at 0° C. was added LAH in THF (0.3 mL, 0.3 mmol, 1.0M). The resulting mixture was stirred for 2 hours. 1N NaOH(aq) was added to the mixture to quench it. The reaction was then extracted three times with EtOAc. After drying over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and filtering, the organic solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the product was purified on silica gel (0-20% EtOAc in hexanes) to yield 66.15F as a colorless oil (0.035 g, 75% yield).
