Procedure
To a stirred solution of 66.18F (0.400 g, 1 mmol) in THF (6 mL) at 0° C. was added LAH in THF (2 mL, 2 mmol, 1.0M). The resulting mixture was stirred for 2 hours. 1N NaOH(aq) was then added to the mixture, and the resulting mixture was extracted three times with EtOAc. After drying over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and filtering, the organic solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the product was then purified on silica gel (0-20% EtOAc in hexanes) to yield 66.18G as a colorless oil (0.273 g, 74% yield).
