To a stirred solution of 69.12A (0.050 g, 0.2 mmol) in EtOAc (3 mL) at 23° C. was added palladium on carbon (0.02 g, 0.2 mmol). The reaction was placed under an atmosphere of hydrogen and stirred for four hours. The reaction was then filtered and concentrated in vacuo. The purity of 69.12B was deemed sufficient such that it was used directly in the next reaction.
