To a stirred suspension of [3-(4-{[2-(4-cyano-benzyloxycarbamoyl)-phenylamino]-methyl}-pyridin-2-yl)-ureido]-acetic acid ethyl ester (Example 529, 188 mg) in methanol (4 ml) was added 2 M aqueous sodium hydroxide (2 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 15 minutes. Water (6 ml) was added and the pH of the mixture was adjusted to 5 by addition of 4 M hydrochloric acid. The resulting precipitated material was isolated by filtration and dried under high vacuum, affording the title compound. 13C-NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 171.7, 167.5, 154.7, 153.5, 151.3, 148.4, 146.7, 141.9, 132.6, 132.1, 129.1, 128.0, 118.7, 115.3, 114.8, 112.8, 111.5, 110.7, 109.2, 75.9, 45.3, 41.4
