Procedure

A solution of tert-butyl [(3R,6S)-1-acetyl-2-(aminomethyl)-6-(2,3-difluorophenyl)azepan-3-yl]carbamate (22 mg, 0.055 mmol) in acetic acid (3 mL) was heated to 80° C. After 6 h, the reaction mixture was allowed to cool to ambient temperature. Saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate was added and the mixture was extracted with dichloromethane (3×). The combined organic extracts were dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated. MS 380.1 (M+1).
