Trifluoroacetic acid (7.5 mL, 101.3 mmol) was added to a solution of tert-butyl {(6S,9R)-6-(2,3-difluorophenyl)-3-[1-(trifluoromethyl)cyclopropyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]azepin-9-yl}carbamate (0.38 g, 0.80 mmol) in dichloromethane (15 mL). After 1 h, the reaction mixture was quenched with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate and the mixture was extracted with dichloromethane (3×). The combined organic extracts were washed with saturated brine, dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated to give the title compound. MS 373.1 (M+1).
