Hydrochloric acid (4.0 M in dioxane; 5 mL, 20.0 mmol) was added to a solution of tert-butyl {(6S,9R)-6-(2,3-difluorophenyl)-3-[1-(trifluoromethyl)cyclopropyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]azepin-9-yl}carbamate (440 mg, 0.93 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (5 mL). After 1.5 h, the reaction mixture was concentrated to give the bis hydrochloride salt of the title compound (425 mg). MS 347.1 (M+1).
