4 g (17.6 mmol) of 5-fluoro-2-[2-nitro-ethylideneamino]-benzoic acid (Example 19a) in 35 ml acetic anhydride are heated (ca. 100° C.) until a clear solution is obtained. 2 g (21.2 mmol) of potassium acetate are added and stirring is continued for 30 min (tlc-control). The reaction mixture is cooled to rt and the formed crystals are filtered off and washed several times with acetic acid and water. mp: 313° C.; MS: 207 (M+−1); HPLC: tret=9.94 min (Grad 3).
