A mixture of 6-butyl-3-(3,3-dimethyl-2-oxobutyl)-5-{[3-fluoro-2′-(5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)biphenyl-4-yl]methyl}-2-methylpyrimidin-4(3H)-one (0.15 g), 2-(aminooxy)propane hydrochloride (0.63 g) and pyridine (5 mL) was stirred at 100° C. for 16 hr. The mixture was allowed to cool to room temperature, and the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with 1 M hydrochloric acid and then with saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to give the title compound as a colorless amorphous solid (0.036 g, 22%).
