To a solution of 4-[6-(2-aminoethyloxy)-3-cyanoindol-1-yl]-2-methoxymethoxy benzoic acid ethyl ester (0.10 g) and triethylamine (0.076 g) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was added acetyl chloride (0.049 g) at room temperature, and this mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 hours. This reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (eluent: dichloromethane:methanol=10:1) to give the title compound (0.083 g).
