To a solution of the aniline (27.3) (0.050 g, 0.100 mmol) in DCM (1 mL), was added TEA (28.2 μL, 0.200 mmol) and 4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene-1-sulfonyl chloride (73.8 mg, 0.300 mmol). A catalytic amount (<5.0 mg) of DMAP was then added to drive the reaction to completion. The reaction mixture was stirred for two hours and then concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by medium pressure chromatography (silica gel, 10 to 45% EtOAc:hexanes) to give 32.1 (17.0 mg). MS ESI (pos.) m/e: 706.2 (M+H).
