Procedure

3-Methylbutan-2-one (2.5 g, 1 eq.) and dimethylformamide diethylacetal (7.46 mL, 1.5 eq.) were heated at 100° C. for 4 days to give compound 85 as yellow viscous oil in 80% yield., which was used directly without further purification in the next step.
