5-(2-aminoethyl)-6-chloro-N-[(1S)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-yl]pyrimidin-4-amine (1.00 g, 3.46 mmol) and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (1.21 mL, 6.92 mmol) were dissolved in 1,4-dioxane (19 mL) and the solution was heated in a pressure tube at 160° C. for 48 hours. At that time, LCMS indicated complete conversion. Solvent was removed in vacuo and the residue was purified using chromatography on silica gel using gradient 0 to 20% MeOH in methylene chloride to afford the title compound (0.81 g, 93%). LC/MS: Rt=1.55 min, ES+ 253 (AA standard).
