600 mg (2.9 millimoles) of cis-2-(m-aminobenzoyl)-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid, 20 ml of ethanol and 0.16 g (3.2 millimoles) of hydrazine hydrate are refluxed for 6 hours. After filtering off the product at 10° C. and drying it under reduced pressure at 50° C., 0.35 g (60% of theory) of 2-(m-aminophenyl)-3,4-diaza-bicyclo[4.1.0]hept-2-en-5-one are isolated as colorless crystals, which are identical with the compound from Example 33.
