Reaction Steps
To a solution of 1.0 g of Boc-L-tyrosyl-D-methionyl-glycyl-L-phenylalanyl-3-amino-1-adamantanecarboxamide in 5.0 ml of glacial acetic acid is added 5.0 ml of a 6 N solution of hydrogen chloride in dioxane. The reaction mixture is stirred for 20 minutes at room temperature. The solvent is removed under reduced pressure, and the residue is dissolved in 125 ml of water. The solution is lyophilized to give L-tyrosyl-D-methionyl-glycyl-L-phenylalanyl-3-amino-1-adamantanecarboxamide hydrochloride which is represented by the following formula ##STR29##
