Procedure

12 g (37.4 mmol) 1-benzyl-3-(tert.butoxy-carbonylamino-methyl)-3-methoxymethylpyrrolidine is desolved in 150 ml ethanol. This solution is hydrogenated at 4 g Pd-carbon (10%) at 100° C./100 bar H2. The catalyst is removed by filtration, and the organic solvents are removed in vacuo. The residue is distilled.
