Dissolve 1-[2-[3-(3,4-dichloro-phenyl)-1-(3,4,5-trimethoxy-benzoyl)-pyrrolidin-3-yl]-ethyl]-4-phenyl-piperidine-4-carboxylic acid 4-methylpiperazine-amide (1.96 g, 2.71 mmol) in dichloromethane (20 mL). This solution was combined with a saturated solution of hydrochloric acid in dichloromethane (20 mL) and the mixture was stirred for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was evaporated [in vacuo and hexane was added. This mixture was evaporated in vacuo and diethyl ether was added. The diethyl ether mixture was evaporated in vacuo to give a solid. The solid was dried in vacuo to give the title compound.
